The Financial and Operations Analyst supports the business and financial control objectives of the Hotel Division. Reporting to the Vice President of Accounting, the Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance and publication of the reports and analysis that are utilized for the management and evaluation of financial performance. The Analyst supports the annual budgeting process and takes an active role in the analysis of budget accuracy and presentation. This individual is a key contributor to the profitability of the Hotel Division providing support to both Hotel Accounting and Operations through timely and accurate reporting of key financial data and analysis of trends and variances.
Performance of the Analyst is evaluated based on the accuracy and timeliness of work and analysis and the initiative demonstrated to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and produce the Hotel Division's core operating reports to include;

Financial forecast reporting process. - Flash Report
Payroll Productivity and variance Analysis
Market Share reporting and Presentation
Monthly Division Update Content
Senior Management Monthly Briefing

2. Support the annual Business Planning and Operating Budget process for the Hotel Division. Work closely with the VP of Accounting and Senior Operations staff to developed the annual budget tool and complete the planning process.

3. In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources for the Hotel Division manage and produce the information needed for the quarterly operational and quality performance incentive system for field personnel. Gather all necessary evaluation data, manage the calculation tool and process the incentive calculations for review.

4. Specific corporate accounting duties include:

Manage operating lease payments and reconciliations.

Maintain all monthly recurring Journal Entries for the Hotel Division.

Participate in Month End Closing Statement Reviews.

Serve as a replacement for Project Accountants during vacations and at other times as needed.


5. Provide Corporate Accounting system support to fellow team members and field staff:

Become proficient in accounting software system at Corporate Office.

Learn field based accounting systems.

Train new hires

6. Participate in special projects such as: service on the due diligence team for potential acquisitions, budget planning for new construction hotels, special analysis of particular hotel variances,


The ideal candidate must have:

2+ to 5 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree
Hotel experience
Accounting experience
